Madame Needle

Counted cross stitch chart, a reproduction from original sampler stitched by Sophia Doggett in 1804. 

We can see several beautiful medallions with some animals and birds included: squirrel, swans, butterflies.

Looks great with Au ver Soie silks or DMC cottons.

Background fabric plays one of the main role in this design, so be sure to try hand dyed fabric! Higher count will make more delicate stitching.
