From 17th centrury England we have the most exquisite samplers to admire. This particular one was inspired by these lovely pieces with some influences from Sharon Cohen's study of Elizabethian embroidery.
This model is stitched with Soie d'Alger silk floss, perle cotton, Japan gold thread on 32ct linen.
Stitch count: 104 x 223
This sampler should be stitched on linen with following materials: #26 tapestry needle, #8 crewel needle, 5" or 6" hoop, sharp embroidery scissors.
