Counted cross stitch chart, a reproduction from original sampler made by Mary Ann Diaper back in 1826! Absolutely fantastic and detailed work. By the way Mary Ann was just 8.

Stitched with Au ver Soie silks from France on a hand dyed fabric. 

The sampler is filled with bright details such as birds, strawberries, flowers, butterflies, stags. 

Any lightly stained fabrics will work for this project perfectly!
